Well, the 2008 deer season was a hard one for us. It was Britt's first season with a bow and she managed to hang in there. With only a miss on a doe she still has high hopes for next season. I managed to arrow a 2.5 year old 7 point and that was it for me. But with deer season behind us I started off the fall/winter with great success on calling fox/coyotes. Then the night of 12/17/08 happened. I was involved in a tragic hunting accident that has me out of commission for a while. Check out my blog for more info on that. Just hoping to get back on the saddle ASAP but need time to heal. We hope everyone had a great fall and for those of you that continue the hunt through winter we hope it is a safe and productive chase...
Glad you're still among the living. Always good to be reminded on how critical communicating really is. I'm glad you are recovering well and that John is recovering from the shock of it all. Nice song dogs there! I did a little deer hunting near Hornell-had a wonderful time. It was scary though. I have never heard that many gun shots in a single morning.
