Hunt Hard, Kill Swiftly, Waste Nothing, Make No Apologies . . .
"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind". - Dr Suess
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, Chardonnay in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" - Maxine

She was donated to a friends Wild Game Dinner to raise money for children's illnesses. Last year the cause was juvenile diabetes and over 300 people attended.

HEROES
I hunt because my father hunted, and I will teach my children to hunt. I do not need to hunt to eat but I choose to eat all that I harvest. I do need to hunt to be fully who I am though.
I hunt because the ghosts of beloved companions such as jenny and rowdy and bruce and bo and belle prance through the woods, wagging their tails and snuffling.
I hunt because the goldenrod and milkweed glisten when the early morning October sun melts the frost from the fields, and because New Jersey woods glow crimson and orange and gold in the season of deer hunting.
I hunt because if I didn't, I would have seen fewer hawks and eagles, racoons and opposums, foxes and muskrats, coyotes and beavers, and although I do not hunt these creatures, I do love to enter into their world and spy on them.
I hunt for the snorts of fleeing deer, the barking of squirrels, the distant honks of geese, the gobble of a strutting tom and the whistle of a woodcock's wings.
I hunt because it is never boring or disappointing to be outdoors with a purpose, even when no game is spotted, and because taking a walk in the woods without a purpose makes everything that happens feel random and accidental and unearned.
I hunt for the satisfying exhaustion after a long day in the woods, for the new stories that every day of hunting gives us.
I hunt because it reminds me that there is a food chain where everything eats and is, in it's turn, eaten. Where birth, survival, and reproduction give full meaning to life, where death is ever present, and where the only uncertainty is the time and manner of that death. Hunting reminds me that I am integrated into that cycle, not separate or above it.
I hunt because it keeps my passions alive and my memories fresh, and because I believe that as long as I hunt I will remain young.
First and foremost, I am the mother of three wonderful and amazing children who constantly find new and creative ways to challenge me on a daily basis. The most important lesson in life that I would like to teach them is that you do not have to fit the conventional mold of what society says you should be. My passion in life is fishing and hunting. I am far from the second seat angler or hunter, as I am a full throttle, peddle to the medal, give it your all, jump in completely head first, type of woman. If I do not know how to do something, I will ask you to show me how, but I will never ask you to do it for me. Please stop in and visit my web site at http://www.MsGrit.com

A lady was telling her neighbor that she saw a man driving a pick-up truck down the interstate, and a dog was hanging onto the tail gate for dear life!
She said if the pick-up truck driver hadn't been going so fast in the other direction, she would have tried to stop him.
A few weeks later, her neighbor saw this truck at the Bass Pro Shop. The pick-up truck driver is a local taxidermist with a great sense of humor! And it is not a dog it is a coyote.
