Grew up on an island in the marsh, could only get there by boat. Once I started school we moved to town. I now live out in the country with my wife and daughter. I work in the oilfield as a gauger, taking care of oil & gas wells.
Can't afford the fuel to go fishing. Been wanting to go but can't see spending that kind of money for gas to go and play. Saving my money for a family camping trip for father's day.

Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.
Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)
Thanks for the add. What marsh are you from? I hunt the marsh in southwest LA.
I hunt the marsh out of Talen's Landing off Grand Lake. My family owns some property between Grand Lake and Colligan Lake off the old intracoastal.
Awesome! I bet you know some good fishing holes in that area. I hunt off of Little Chenier rd. Hunting the last couple of years in the marsh have been great. Now I'm trying to get into some good fishing in that area. Let me know if they start biting and where.
Enjoy the time off and don't forget to keep an eye on us here, we are planning something big over the weekend :)
Thanks.
No damage over here either. Just alot of water everywhere.
