whats up, i'm josh. i'm 22 and ive lived in southern maine my entire life. i'm an avid outdoorsman and have been since i discovered the great outdoors at a very young age. I work for a small masonry and excavating business full time, and i'll be starting a part time job in the archery department at the local cabelas as a second job in may. bowhunting has become my biggest passion in life, there's nothing better than sittin' 20 feet up a big ol' oak on a cold october day with a bow in my hand; i live it, and breath everyday of my life. i also enjoy baiting/bowhunting big maine black bear...it's a rush like no other..if you ever get a chance to try it..don't miss out. I've recently become obsessed with outdoor filming. i enjoy filming hunts with a good friend of mine and we've been fortunate enough to lay down some great footage of some maine wildlife, i hope to someday break into the outdoor filming industries and roll some film behind some of the biggest names in hunting..(hey, wishful thinking here... ; ) ) I'm looking forward to gobbler season here in about a month and i can't wait for fall to roll around so we can once again bait up some of those big ol' black bears, and also for my bowhunting trip out to ohio! anything else... get at me.

I hear you man.I cant wait for bear season to start too. Be here before you know it.
ive got the itch bad man...every time i pick-up bait and get a whif of those dunkin donuts it gets worse! good luck
You pick up bait now? How do you keep it good til the season?
we collect all spring and summer... we tamp the donuts into a 55 gallon lock top drum so their packed in tight, fill it to the brim and then lock the cover on...we keep them in the garage where it's out of the sunlight and fairly cool and with all the preservitives in the donuts, they stay good for a year or two..you just have to scrape a little bit of the moldy layer off the top..the rest stay's fresh
Really..So as long as you pack them they will stay good? Guess I should try that then..
yeah, we put around a 10 to 12 " layer of donuts into the barrel and then tamp the snot out of it ..then add another 10-12" and another and so on... as long as the air doesn't get to them they stay fairly fresh all summer
Great,,Thanks alot for the help..Ill try that
