Cut a branch in half in the morning and zip for the evening. Was LOTS of people out there. Had a group of guys set up a camp at one of my good spots but I went in around the backside of them. Had a ton of deer push through right before light and my only shot was at a doe. She was truckin' and I tried to lead the shot. I make a better indian than cowboy, LOL!
Well I have my scent line out and decoy ready to go. I will be hunting the morning til 9 then manning the store. After work I'm coming home and heading up north to hunt Mon.-Weds. morning.

So Mr. Bowman, will you guys be trying to video opening day of firearms season or no? I wanted to have my buddy film the second and third day for me but he hasn't gotten laid off yet.
Yep we will hunting and videoing Sunday and monday. Are you going to be out Sunday or are you manning the store?

Congrats on the new bows hop, hope everything goes well for ya.
We are buiding Longbows and Recurves and are part owners in the company. If you know any want that want to try a Trad Bow have then check with us.
How's your season going?
I may get with you in the spring, have thought about going traditional several times over the years. The farmer is just NOW getting his crops out of the field, the deer have been staying out in the corn and coming back into bed before daylight, so hopefully things will start picking up.
These Trad bows are a blast. How far are you from Nashville? we will be having a booth at the Professional bowhunters convention in March.
Am about 250 miles from Nashville, may try to plan on getting down there in march and check it all out.
Arrrggh this shift stinks!! But it is work so I can't complain too much.
Pretty much had a body meltdown after hunting so hard basically since August with the start of bear baiting. I slept all day today until the kids got home from school. Jeir said she was waiting to see how long it would be before my body called it quits. The mind wants to keep going but the flesh is weak,LOL!
Had b-day dinner with Jr. and went off to work. Keeping logged in while I clean the daycare to have some music going. BTW garbage cans full of dirty diapers would be a great form of birth control.
I feel like I am about to crash also but can't until Dec. 15 after the elk hunt Have a great night
I can't wait till your elk hunt!! Gotta bring back some 4ft backstraps,LOL!
Hey I sold my JavaMan so I can get the Jeep going. I did ok on the sale especially the way things are on the classifides. I've done lots of selling in there and have built a good rep so I think it helps.
Do you still have that green bow Dick cut into 3 pieces? If so I wanna mess around with it if you aren't planning on messing with it yourself. I think I can turn it into a 3 piece "super shorty". I would have to sand the heck out of the limbs though to actually use it cause the draw weight would be insane after I'm done. Still would be fun to shoot and who knows we may have something new to offer.
I should have told you to grab that box full of leather too. I sewed up the leather grip and did quite a good job on it. The stitches are small and pretty even, I used dental floss for the thread. My mom is super wicked good at sewing and made sure I knew how to before leaving the house. Could come in handy! The worst part was sticking myself with the needle trying to push through the leather. Need a thimble! Funny how that thin piece of leather can make such a difference. It feels warm to the touch compared to that bare wood riser.
I'm totaly rambling on!! I've drank a pot of coffee so far and it seems to be working, LOL!
Tracey and I have been kicking some ideas around on the take dowwn as well. The next time I see you I will get you the pieces we have here. Talk to you soon planning an all day hunt for saturday before the gun opener
Cool! I was going to go out this morning but didn't go to sleep till 4am. Just kept tossing around. I went out for a scouting/hunt walk late morning. Hopefully I'll fall asleep tonight, i cut back on the coffee
