Letno5 Crazy week of school then the last few days of bow season
ABOUT ME
Im from a small town in Mass right where Vermont and New Hampshire meet. I go to college at Keene State in New Hampshire. Im majoring in sustainable product design. Pretty much i design things on computers that can be reused or recycled in some way. Its pretty cool. Ive been hunting and fishing for as long as i can remember and i love it. Always looking for people to talk to and learn from so don't be shy!
Weapons of Choice:
Just bought a 2008 BowTech 101st
A Remington Model 700 30-06
Remington 870 Scoped 20ga Slug gun
I've seen 16. No bucks. Most of them are coming through in the morning, and working 6 days a week doesnt leave me much time in the stand. I have wed/thurs off this week and plan on huntin hard both mornings.
I hear you got a 5-point! very nice. And I'm assuming you did the job in 1 shot, not 4 like my dad and 2 for your dad.
No shooters within bow range. Saw some large 10 & 12 point 150-180" racks. Plenty on does and young bucks.
Had a great time. Rained four out of the eight days. The weather is not allowing the farmers to cut corn. The deer are using it for cover. This means the deer don't have to use the timerline i'm posted in..lol
Sorry to hear you didnt get a big one. At least you saw some monsters though. You got back to Mass just in time, i was in the woods this weekend and it looks like the rut should start soon, i saw a lot of scrapes and rubs. My dad got a 4 pointer last week too. Good luck with the MA season.
Good luck to you this year. I cant wait to get in the woods this Saturday. I would love to take Friday off.. but now sure my employer would appreciate another day off.

yeah man, apparently theres a 16-point non typical cruising up around my place to the ridge just south of us (does that one run by you guys too?) one of the locals was telling my dad about it. Anyway, my new boss just called and pushed back my first day of work so I have all day off for the opener tomorrow. i'll keep you updated. good luck this season, bro.
