Just had to go back out and take some more flower pictures this afternoon because I can not believe it is October 31 and we still have flowers blooming!
My 12 year old nephew Clint made an excellent 210 yard heart shot with a 30-06 on his 1st buck, a nice 5x5 Mulie, Sunday morning 10/18/09 out in South West Colorado, where they live. His dad took him out hunting and is pictured with him in one of the below photos. He will be going for his 1st Elk next in a few weeks and we are wishing him the Best of Luck! He has been waiting for the day he could go big game hunting for a long time because in Colorado you have to be at least 12 before you can hunt big game.

Congrats on the doe! Our freezer is packed full with Bear, Venison and antelope so we are waiting to take a doe. Yep, this 10 pointer was maybe 115 inches and there are a few older 130 - 150 class bucks that we've had on our cameras. Not to say that we will have that opportunity to take one but that's all about hunting right? I took 2 days of vacation tomorrow and Friday to do some bow hunting in the northern part of Wisconsin. Maybe I'll get lucky!
well you're right, if I had that caliber of bucks on cam, yeaah I'd be holding out too. How's your buck to doe ratio?
Been out bow hunting yet? I have been going pretty often. I passed up a 2 year old 10 pointer that was 20 yards. Just wasn't big enough for me to shoot. He'll make a nice buck next year.
Yeah I 've been out, put a doe in the freezer. Full moon really squashed things..so hopefully things will pick up but now a nor'easter is gonna hit so 3 days of shitty weather! Passed on a 10 huh? YOu must have some mature bucks around to do that!
My son dressed for Super Hero theme day during Homecoming theme week at his high school. Vying to be a young Hugh Jackman/Wolverine Man lookalike! He was a hit at school yesterday!
