My Dad and the whole entire side of his family for introducing me to hunting and fishing before I even turned 1! But I don't like to leave people out so really every family member of mine and all my friends and of course my boyfriend! They all have been there for me!
Hi, my name is Katie. I am 12 years old. I live in a small town called Forest Lake, in Minnesota. I am OBSESSED with hunting and fishing.I hunt for deer and grouse and I usually fish for walleye and crappie. For bird hunting I will be getting a new shotgun (probably a 20 ga.) but for now I use an old .410 but it gets the job done. I use a .243 for deer hunting. For fishing I don't have anything really 'fancy', just a cheap but durable Shakespeare Firebird. I do shoot a cheap little bow but I need to save money for a good bow. I recently completed gun safety and I'm all set and legal for deer hunting now that I have turned twelve. I really love to shoot! I can only shoot my pellet gun in my backyard, but when we go to the gun range or up to my cabin in Shaw, MN, I just have a blast shooting even though I am sensitive to recoil when I shoot bigger guns. My first time shooting I remember getting almost all bull's eyes. I just love to hunt and fish! Well if you got questions , feel free to ask me! :)

HI Katie, I also have a son who is 12 and just like me enjoys the outdoors. I think its great you do, enjoy it while you can, my daughter is now 18 and does not go with me like she once did. Stay warm up there I see on the news it bitterly cold.

o occasionally fish 4 catfish and bass. i use a 20 gauge pump but am gonna get a automatic soon
o cool i started shooting just last year but i have gone hunting with my dad for years and I fish for walleye and crappie a lot
