Hey Buddy! hows life? im about ready to start shootin some 3D. Maybe we can get together and shoot in Royal Retreat or they have a indoor spot shoot that my brother has been wanting to shoot about 2 miles from me at Lewis & Clark Outdoors. anyway, just wanted to stop in and check up on ya. Hope all is well! M.Matthews
There are 3D tournaments this weekend at Sherwood (Salem) and Foggy Mountain (Hillsville). I'm not sure I'll be able to get a pass this weekend, we just had a baby on Sunday.
When do you shoot at Lewis & Clark Outdoors? It's about an hour from me but I would be interested in shooting. Is this their first tournament of the season?
I think it would be cool to meet up to shoot. Let me know when the shoots take place and I'll send a note if I can make it.
It does sound like you've got some things keeping you busy. I hope everything works out for you. It sounds like you're moving in the right direction.
PSE has a 36" bow called the Bow Madness that is interesting. A single cam. They also unveiled the Omen at the ATA show last week. Basically a 5.5" brace height, 65% letoff, XForce with a 366fps IBO. I don't think I'll be buying anything this year, but if I do, it would be the Bow Madness. I'm getting plenty of pass-throughs on the deer I'm shooting and don't need extra speed from the Omen for indoor or field archery, plus it's about $1000. I'll keep my Xforce for at least another year but truthfully I don't see a need to upgrade anytime soon.
I've been shooting some indoor tournaments and indoor league has started. There are a couple of 3D tournaments this month but it will depend on how cold it is as to whether or not I shoot in them. We have a baby due in mid February too, so the timing there will make a difference. I get down to Rural Retreat to shoot some 3D in the summer months. Do you ever go to Muskets Bows and Stuff in Rural Retreat? He's not a Mathews dealer but the 3D course is a good one to shoot.
hey thanks for the bday comment. hope you had a great season this year. just now seen you are from chilhowie, im just up the road in atkins. have a great weekend.
