Books...... Esther Watkins' cookbook !!
I've been lucky enough to hunt in several states - but my "Home Away from Home" is with Mike & Esther Watkins at Trophies Plus Outfitters in Alzada, Montana. I've spent time there hunting and filming every fall & spring for the last few years. There are more deer , antelope, & turkey in the areas Mike hunts than I've seen anywhere else in the country.

My Grandpa - Willie Ray !

DarinC 'Tis the Season

The last major change in my hunting career started about 5 years ago on the way back from a Missouri spring Turkey hunt. I had taken a small MiniDV camcorder in my vest and filmed a few neat clips of the hunt. My passion for hunting had merged with my love of filming .

It was then I realized that I had to commit myself to doing it the right way if I was going to continue to film & hunt. That summer I sold most all of my guns and bought my first "Pro" camera. My first official trip with the camera was in North Dakota filming John " LabCoat Guy " Woller for Summit's High Places. The rest is history.

Since then, I've filmed other hunts for Summit, Co-Produced a local cable outdoor show for 2 years, and more recently got involved with Open Season TV as a Pro Staffer and Assistant editor.

With all the time filming , hunting, and just planning for the next trip - my family has been very supportive. I have also met some really wonderful people along the way - made new friends , seen famous faces and been to great places.

Outside my passion for the life behind the camera , I have been an Alabama Conservation Enforcement Officer for nearly 15 years. I am also an FBI certified Firearms Instructor for the DCNR. My wife Tifney and our kids Carter, Carly & Zach keep me in line when I'm around the house.

I enjoy my work time,my play time and cherish my family .

I am truly blessed and Thankful for every Sunrise !

Hey Brother...good to hear from you! Yea, I'm really pumped about the CVA deal. I have the Accura and the Apex and love them both. The Apex is my front runner and my Accura is my back up. They both shoot top dog with 1 3/8" groups at 100 yards.

We are heading up to Illinois next week for the Summit's High Places show. We will be hunting my farm again. I shot a 145" 12 point there a few weeks back and Chris will get into the shooting saddle for a few days and then I will put the CVA Apex to work on Friday.

Take care!!
