August 11, 2010- 38 Individuals from Australia to Canada and the United States arrived at the facilities of Campbell Illinois Whitetails to attend the August Outdoor Videography School. That night, while grilling out, everyone was able to meet each other and all the staff.

After sweating off that mornings huge buffet breakfast from Billy Bob & Ninas, the students traveled back to air conditioning to learn an introduction to editing, taught by

Adam Livella, from Sennheiser, taught the students the importance of good audio and the differences in todays microphones.

Later in the day, Caleb Coston and Kim Risley, from CampbellCameras.com, discussed today's video cameras and accessories. This gave the students insight on the differences between each camera and the accessories that go along with them.

Aaron Coston, editor of the Campbell Outdoor Challenge, taught in-depth functionality of today's latest and greatest Pro-Grade Video Cameras. Items discusses were gain, iris, frame rate, audio, white balance, custom keys and much more.
Students were then allowed to break off into groups with different instructors to practice different video techniques taught by Aaron.
A dinner feast was served from Billy Bob & Ninas catering and the students once again bonded over great food and a fun night.

Day two of the video school started off with a short talk from John Campbell about some of his experiences and his personal tips.
Then, the most generous man in the industry, Pat Reeve from DrivenTV, spent all day with the class discussing video filming setups, his personal filming tips (that took him years to discover), creative filming, building a storyline and much more.

David Freeman, a hollywood screenwriter instructor, taught on the final day. He discussed with the students how important it is to know who you are, your special treats and how to bring those out in a show. He also did mock interviews to discover some of the students character personalities. Later, he broke down video clips to show the importance of story building.
After the closing of the school, Outdoor Videography certificates were handed out and the students had one more night to socialize and build their friendships that will last forever.
We would like to thank all of those who attended this years Outdoor Videography School and for those of you who did not attend, we can't wait to see you in the future!
