BowtechArcher1 'Tis the season

I've been involved in archery since I was 5 years old. I think it's in my nature. Rifles are OK & don't get me wrong, I have taken my share of animals that way. I would rather hunt with stick & string. BowTech is my choice. Don't matter what you hunt with ~ just hunt!

I mainly shoot my 30-06, but I got to use my crossbow a couple times this season at out place in Kentucky ( I got the crossbow last year for Christmas but season was already over!) I have also brought my slug out for the first time in years, have mainly used the shotgun for geese. I have hunted just about anything that moves in here in the midwest, and also have been to Idaho and shot my first bull Elk (2006). We just started really going after the coyote around here in the last month or so, We live on a farm and they have been coming too close to the barns for comfort at night and during the day. Our house is about 1/4 mile away and in broad daylight they have come right up the driveway to the backyard, time for them to go!!!

Thanks for the add. Those are some beautiful elk you shot. I took a trip out Colorado for an elk hunt back in 2003 near Telluride at the foot of Mt. Wilson. There were seven of us in camp and all seven of us shot bulls. None of them were real big but mine was a nice symetrical 5x5. That was the first time and last time I've been out there (mostly a money thing) but I can see how elk hunting can really get into your blood. Hope to get back out there soon. God Bless and have a Merry Christmas.
