BOOKS?? I don't do books...Hunting Mags and that's it. I had enough of the book thing in school. I received a Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Mount Aloysius College. Oh yeah...I had a 3.88 GPA. I guess that's what can happen when you study?!?! Just a suggestion to those that think Criminology may be what they're lookin' to study. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Don't get me wrong, there is good job security in the field, but a lot of stress comes with the job. I know that every job can be stressful, but it seems as though my friends don't have to go through what I do. If I had to do over again, I would have done something in the education or agricultural sciences field.
INTERESTS
I'm a 100% avid outdoorsman. I enjoy both hunting and fishing. If it came down to choosing just one, it would definitely be hunting. There's just something about it...Something that words are hard to describe. Archery is my season of choice. There's nothing like waiting for the perfect opportunity on a nice buck. It doesn't happen so easily though. Patience...patience...patience!!!
When it comes to hunting, I've had the opportunity to do so in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, South Carolina, Minnesota and Canada. It's great when one gets to experience another type of hunting environment. I enjoy them all. This year I hunted PA and MD pretty hard and with great success. Put in the TIME and it will pay off.
Just another tidbit...I also have a camp in Potter Co. I try to get to it any chance that I can. I know why they call it "God's Country".
TELEVISION
CMT and, of course, The Outdoor Channel!!!
HEROES
My parents!!! If it weren't for them, in particular my old man, I would probably be in some rehab or be one of those worthless people gettin a check on the first of the month. I've never done drugs, so don't get the wrong impression. It's just that I definitely could have been wrapped up in a lot of bad things, if it weren't for my dad and hunting. My dad got me into the world of hunting and I really appreciate that. I'm not sure he knows how much he means to me. I'm looking forward to spending my time off from work and time in the woods with him during the next season!!
My name?? It's Brad. I don't know what I'm here for??? At the very least to make friends. I'm up for swapping pictures/stories and possibly meeting a new hunting partner. I love the outdoors and during the unfortunate times when I am not hunting, I have this lil' headache I call "work". I work for the Commonwealth of PA in a juvenile facility. It's the Youth Forestry Camp No. 3, YFC#3 for short. I am responsible for the custody of juvenile delinquents and, boy let me tell ya, it can be very interesting at times. The woods is a great place to relax and forget about all of that, at least for a few days anyways. Feel free to ask me any questions that you might have.
Nice long beard, did you call him in,was he strouten and talken stuff to the hens or did he just fly down land right in front of you and hit his head on a rock?............just kidding........I love pa,I have a camp in Tioga county. Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.
Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)
