BigCountry123 Welcome to BigCountry123's profile

Nothing much to tell I'm 30 years old and enjoy the outdoors way too much if that is possible.Whitetail deer take up most of my time during the season.Strictly a bow hunter but I will go on a occasional shotgun hunt.I live next to a lake so I also love to waterfowl hunt.If it has anything to do with hunting I am there.

Been a while...thought I'd check in and see if you survived those strong winds you had last month.

Strong winds the weather man called it a inland hurricane. We did have a tree through the house, without power for a week and didn't have water for eleven days.Everything is back to normal the towns are still cleaning up the limbs and trees.I don't think Southern Illinois will look the same any time soon.I was in my truck going to work when it hit we had sustained winds at 106 miles per hour.I pulled over in a campground parking lot to let it pass there was a trash dumpster 30 feet in front of me and when it was done the same dumpster was 60 yards behind me.It sure was a wild experience I will never forget.

I was down a few days after it happened at my Dad's and helped him put new shingles on his house and a new garage door which sucked in and damaged his car.We worked using generators he was with out power for 13 days. I guess it was a week later when he called and said things were a lot worse towards Marion.
Anyways I'm glad to hear you made it through it, I was starting to get a little concerned because I haven't heard from you.

Your welcome and thanks for the add. We're practically neighbors. Use to do some 3D archery shoots years ago around Carterville. Is there any shoots down in the area coming up?
My Dad and Step mom built a home behind Murphysboro State Park about 6 yrs. back. I come down to fish a couple times a year.I would love to find some public land with good hunting close to Crab Orchard but don't have any idea where to start looking.
