Ben Weddington is a Memphis, Tennessee native with a passion for the great outdoors. He started hunting at a very early age, going quail hunting on the family farm with his father before he could even walk. From there his enthusiasm for hunting and fishing has grown tremendously. He has worked in the Outdoor Industry since 2003, when in 8th grade he and a friend first created, wrote, and published the first outdoor magazine exclusively for teenagers, “HunTeen Magazine”. A year later he joined Bass Pro Shops’ new “Next Generation ProTeam”, where he travels all over the country with the other members hunting, fishing, and promoting the great outdoors.

Soon after joining the team, Ben was asked to co-host Bass Pro Shops new television show, “The Next Generation”, which he still currently stars on. The show airs on TheOutdoorChannel and has been a major hit with viewers and the industry since its first episode. On the show, he travels with a camera crew of skilled videographers both hunting and fishing all over the nation. When filming, they try to make the show as entertaining and enjoyable as possible for the viewers while hunting game and fishing both freshwater and saltwater. The show also offers tips to help viewers become more successful outdoorsmen and portray the outdoors as it should be...fun and enjoyable for both young and old.
