B3WATERFOWLERS Welcome to B3WATERFOWLERS's profile

Going into the second year of hunting with my two sons Alex (16) & Josh (9). We enjoyed duck hunting last year and had some success. This year we decided to expand our hunting experience so we joined a hunting club - Buck Wild Hunting Club which is located in the Oakdale / Elizabeth La area. We have 4500 acres for deer, hogs, turkey and other small game.

Hey,

Can you send me some info on your guide service. Probably can't make it up that way but if the boys enjoy it we could make a trip up your way next season. We only have a spring season down here. What about Tn. do ya'll have more?

Our main Turkey season is in the spring. Certain counties with a large population of birds have a fall season.Feather Ridge Outdoors is launching a new web site very soon . We've almost got all our ducks in a row. All our guiding Info will be on it. As soon as we launch it I'll be sure to let you know. If you need some info before then , let me know and I'll put something together for you.

My best advice to new turkey hunter is do you home work.Watch the birds and see where they want to be. Keep your distance and try not to spook em. When season starts set up in front of the turkey and call very little. At least until you learn when and what calls to make. We guide and film Turkey hunts here in West Tn. If you get a chance you should bring your boys up. We love to take kids huntin. Good luck huntin!

My brother in law lives in Franklin Tn. Don't know if that near your area. He has some land leased to train his dog on and he doesn't hunt. He told us over the holidays that it full of deer and turkey..........we will defintely make a trip next year. When is the turkey season in Tn ?

Franklin is probably an hour and a half drive east of where I live. Turkey season starts on March 28,2009 and goes through May 10.Let me know if you can make it up. Maybe we can get your boy's first turkey on film.

What's up in New Mexico? Been doing much hunting? Duck season is winding down in Louisiana and it's been hit miss. Between the hurricane messing up the marsh and the warm weather it hasn't been the best season. Do you do any turkey hunting? My boys want to give it a try and I don't have a clue when it comes to big bird

Hey, whats up? Well this year wasn't the greatest. there was a lot of ducks but they flew to high. They must of known we were there. I didn't kill as many as I usually do. We hasd a lot of shovelrs, this year. I made more kills sky busting, than up close. Our season ends at the end of the month. After that we can kill snows for two months no plug no limit. Turkey hunting is good here. starts in april. There not as scared here as on tv. You could almost walk up to them, Before they freak out. Good luck with the big bird, check it out is fun.
