B3WATERFOWLERS Welcome to B3WATERFOWLERS's profile

I've been out of hunting for a pretty long time. I'm married with two sons Alex (15) & Josh (8). They both enjoy playing sport........football and baseball, but lasted year wanted to give ducking hunting a try. I think they are hooked and have been enjoying very much. The three of us are learning as we go. Exploring new places to hunt, learning to set the decoys and most of all learning to call the ducks............well we're trying at least.

What size boat do you have that motor on? I have mine on a 1452 and I'm having some weight issues. My transom is too low so I might have to put some flotation pods on it. Any problems with yours?

What kind of weigh issues are you having ?? I have a 15x48 boat and 23hp GD, hunt with me and my two boys. Just have to make sure they are sitting in the rights spots and it performs fine. Probably would have got a larger one but we hunt a WMA that has a 25hp max............oh and the price was right on the rig I bought.

My motor is too heavy for the length of my boat, so the water almost comes over the transom. I had to put weight in the front of the boat in order to level it out and now I sit too low in the water, so I'm pushing a hugh wake. I think if I put some flotation pods I should be able to remove the weight from the front.

The only time I have water coming over the transom is when I'm running alone and stop real fast..............to take a shot. What size motor you running

Be careful what you post on here. It's illegal to shoot from a vehicle. I'm running a 27 hp.

Thanks for the add. How's the hunting and fishing up north? Burrrrrr. Send us some cold down south along with some ducks

Duck hunting was good, deer hunting was great, ice fishing is hot. Cathing lots of crappie and some walleye. Damn cold 15 below this morning, so the ducks should be on there way.

Good luck,

Hey man. How's the hunting on your side of the state ? It's O.K. on this side but would have been a lot better without the storms

We had a real good first split, but it's closed right now. Opens back up this Saturday. Hopefully these cold fronts pushed some new birds down. Don't forget to go to my group and give us reports on what and where your killing.

Hunting big game is real nice. I didn't draw for any hunts this year. Cause everything is a draw around here. I havent heard to many people getting elk around here. My nabor got two cow elk. Each one weight about 900lbs. Barbary sheep was good, saw some nice ones. A guy I know killed a hugh Oryx. Each horn was about 40". Since mule deer was a draw, havent heard anyone getting anything to talk about. But ive seen them. Look on the web at www Valles Calderas.com. The hunts there are crazy. If you draw is a 95% kill. And all elk are 400" and over. Im still trying to draw. Well better go, sorry long winded.
