I like just about everything but jazz or muzak. I like Texas country, old country, some hip-hop...
BOOKS
I mainly read magazines because that's all I have time for these days. I love the Harry Potter series of books.
INTERESTS
I enjoy sewing, shopping, fishing, hunting, camping, tubing the Guadalupe, snow skiing, spending time on the lake, Texas football, and catching up with friends.
TELEVISION
All time favorite show is The Price Is Right. I'm still adjusting to Drew Carey as the host...
HEROES
My grandfather: 2 bronze stars, 2 purple hearts, and the person I admire most.
Austin_Huntress trying to plan a deer hunt second weekend of November... Happy Birthday to me!
ABOUT ME
I am married and I have 2 little boys, ages 3 1/2 and 2 1/2. They keep me busy most of the time. We've got a lake cabin on Lake Buchanan where we go to have fun in the country. The boys LOVE fishing and get so excited at even the smallest fish. I have always enjoyed being outdoors and hunting but I'm trying to do it more now that I have boys. I want them to be happy outdoors without needing a Game Boy or other electronic toy.
This weekend is big game opener with a rifle here in Montana and I am staying home. Opening weekend in my opinion is "Rookie" weekend. All those wannabe hunters that dust off their hunting gear the day before opening day. Oh I am just venting. Thank goodness I bow hunt. I have filled 4 freezers this year thanks to a early season damage hunt. I hope you have as much success as I have. Good Luck!
Top five signs you have hired the wrong hunting guide:
5. Your guide blows into big sea shell horn to attract game and a bunch of Vikings show up instead.
4. Your guide is completely outfitted with "Barney" camping equipment.
3. As you close in on a deer, your guide whispers in an Elmer Fudd voice, "Be vehhwey vehhwey quiet."
2. He calls trees by their first names.
And the number one sign you have hired the wrong hunting guide:
1. He is prone to scream, "Run, Bambi, RUN!"
I'm jealous! We've got the cooler temps but deer season doesn't open till the 27th! Can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by. I just got home from dove hunting. It was a great day. We had a little front move through. It got the birds flying and made it cool enough to sit in the sun. Fun time!
Where is Willow Springs? My mother's family is from Liberty, Mo. I have never been turkey hunting but I really want to go this spring. Enjoyed your pictures.
Willow is in the south central part of the state, never been turkey hunting, boy your missing out, it is by far the most fun that you will ever have with your clothes on. oh and thanks for the add!!!!!!!!!
Hope you had a great weekend! Jeannie got her first deer of bow season on opening day! How cool is that? We hope your hunting season is just a great as ours!! We hope to have some more stories and some pictures this week! Happy Hunting!!
A guy goes hunting and gets lost in the woods. Remembering the universal distress signal of 3 shots, he fires 3 shots into the air and waits.
After an hour he fires 3 more shots. Another hour goes by and still no one comes to help. Preparing for the next sequence he says to himself,
"I hope somebody comes this time because these are my last three arrows."
