My all time favorite is Iron Maiden. I do like "classic rock" (whatever that means,) bluegrass, some "classic" (outlaw) country, blues and folk/traditional music. I don't care for "gansta" rap, slow sappy love songs, or easy listening.
BOOKS
Pavlov's Trout was the last book I read. If you love fishing, you'll love this book. Otherwise I really don't read too many books.
INTERESTS
Hunting and fishing and everything involved in the outdoor sports that gets me hunting and fishing. That means I hike to hunt and fish, boat or canoe to hunt and fish, and camp once I'm at my hunting or fishing site.
TELEVISION
Deadliest Catch, GB Packers, Nascar, Clint Eastwood movies, war documentaries, History Channel, Discovery Channel, Food Network.
HEROES
My father, because he died serving our country aboard the Scorpion Submarine. I never knew him, I was 6 months old when the Scorpion went down.
Amasaman 2 bucks taken in my area by others, all I saw was does. The jerk with the patio chair didn't show up today!!!
ABOUT ME
I am a Yooper, living in the wilderness....well, I really live in Amasa, MI, but it's awfully close to the wilderness compared to the asphalt jungle of Anycity, USA.
If you don't know where the U.P. of Michigan is, then ask. It is quite remote here, and that is why I like it.
I currently play in a blues band called Red, White & Blues. Visit us at www.redwhiteblues.net if you are interested.
I wish I could make it, but I'll be stuck in the l.p. I'll be in the U.P. on the 18th. I hunt just south of Shingleton now. How's the deer herd around Amasa? It isn't good in Shingleton!
Lots of does, even with all the doe tags the last few years. I keep whacking them, and they keep breeding them. Everybody is shooting does to help out. I see about 1 buck for every 6 or 7 does. Most bucks I see are 6 pts or less. Of course, except when I'm out of position or unarmed, then a monster strolls by.
Glad you have a decent deer herd. Good luck during the upcoming rifle season and have fun at the Sawblade Saturday night.
I haven't been to Iron County in about 3 years. I've spent a fair amount of time in the Rusty Sawblade. Friends have a hunting camp just north of Amasa on Cable Lk. Rd. Take care and good luck hunting this year!!!
Good luck to you as well. My band is playing at the Sawblade Nov. 14th to kick off the season.

I hear you on that and we always do some scrimmages every year with smaller schools and the coaches go out of their way to even it up giving 2nd & 3rd string and JV players a chance to be in on those scrimmages. I was worried about my son because he was only 185 lbs as a sophmore at JV center and he would have 300 lb nose tackles across from him in some games. He really moosed up & he was 6' 1 & 1/2, 215 lbs going into 2 a days but he dropped to 205. At the pace he's been on, he's going to be a big guy buy his senior year. We have multiple Varsity players that are over 300 & a bunch of 250+ lineman. They replaced him with a kid at center that's 265 and put him at a pulling gaurd because he's such a talented player. This will be his 10th year of tackle football. He played 5 years of little league tackle prior to 7th & 8th grade school football and he played both sides of the ball all the way up to high school but since he had 6 years at 1st string center, that pretty much locked him in the last 2 years. He was really excited to get the chance to switch to guard this year.

Our school is the Forest Park Trojans, in Crystal Falls, MI. Less than 200 students. Smallest division in MI. Big time football school, lots of tradition. 11 times to championship game, with 3 Trophies since 1975. Five trips in a row now. With all this talent over all these years, very few play D1 or even D2 football. The kids have big hearts, shaped like footballs, but not big bodies. My son was 5"10 165 to 170 and was starting tackle both varsity years. The O-line averaged about 185, but they knew how to block.
I know I am about my son, he's an Honor's Athlete to, carrying a 3.9 cummulative grade point average for high school so far. He goes to a really big Division 1 high school, there were 700 kids in just his grade freshman and sophmore years but our community just opened a 3rd high school so they've redistricted a bunch of kids including football players to the new school this year so the football team is a bit leaner.

Oh yeah, especially knowing I went throught the same thing. Lots of fun!!!
Good luck to your son and his football team. My son started his junior year as well and went all the way to the championship game, then started as a senior and won the championship game! Two trips in a row for him, with one ring. I made it one year as a junior as well...so that makes us 1 for 3 in state football championships games.
