It depends on the day. My music ranges from old school R&B, Blues, Country, Metal,
everything but rap. I guess it's easier to tell you what I don't like.

Who I dig right now:
Marc Broussard: Save Our Soul

Are those the things that are on my shelf collecting dust?

I'm here aren't I. Seriously though, I love the outdoors. Hunting: Deer, upland game birds of all variety, waterfowl, small game, all of it.
When it comes to fishing, no difference. Involving my young daughter and educating her on the outdoors is my true love abouve all though.

Since I work for and am friends with the guys at Wolf Creek Productions (www.wolfcreekinc.com) I tend to watch those shows. American Archer, Outdoor America, American Bird Hunter and more.
I also think that Mark and Terry Drury have a pretty good thing going as well.

I've always looked to my late grandfathers when I was young. My dad and I have been hunting together since I have been able to walk and still do today.
My most recent heroes are those who have showed me new ways to enjoy the outdoors.
Most recently someone I really look up to is my good friend Tom Neslon. About a year and a half ago, I had now idea who he was. I didn't bow hunt, basically I knew what I knew and that was it.
Since meeting Tom I have been a very successful hunter and have worked hard for all the deer I have taken. They may not be the big bucks of television, but they're ones that I have earned.
Thanks to Tom's patience and tutoring, bow hunting has become a way of life for me.

AMOUTDOORS DEAD DOG TIRED!

I have been in the radio business for the past 15 years as a radio personality. Mainly in the rock industry, I have been at America's first Classic Rock Station for the past 10.
In 2006 I founded AM Outdoors. An outdoors radio show that features all of the experts that you see on television, brough to the radio as guests that you can talk to live.
Folks like Babe Winkelman, Ted Nugent, and good friends Tom Nelson (Host of Dead Down Wind's American Archer) Outdoor America host, Steve Gruber and former Grand Funk Railroad front man Mark Farner have made regular Appearances.

Please tell me it's not Stan Parman. I talk to him every now and again. I am going to be doing some outdoors updates for WILZ...I think that's there calls.

Lemme' know if it's him.

No, its Craig Munn at 93KQZ. I guess they consider it Midland now?
Thanks

Thanks for the update, Ted plays down here in San Antonio every so often. My buddy Jerry Leblanc used to be the drummer for Rare Earth. Keep it going up there, I knew who Bill Elliot was, thats too bad. The economy is killing things up there. My old college roommate is running the Classic Rock station in Saginaw, that is about my only link to Mid-Michigan music anymore.

Thanks
Jayson

Here's an update. Mark is here and there on the road. I talked to him a week agao and he was down in Louisville, KY for the NRA convention.

Ted was playing there as well that weekend. Get updates for mar at www.markfarner.com.

Rare Earth has a brand new disc out. A couple of my buddies are in the band. Bird, the bass player has been with Gil for quite sometime now.

The new disc is awesome! You can pick up a copy at www.rareearth.com.

Ted is Ted. Last we talked, he will be starting a new tour. He was on my show a couple of weeks ago teasing us here in Michigan as to how we can't hunt the most abundant game bird in North America, the morning dove.

And if you happen to know this guy, my good friend, Bill Elliot was the former moring drive host on KZEP. Bill is from the Flint area also. He was recently let go. A fate we radio people deal with quite often.

I apologize if this seemed like a "know-it-all" session but I just wanted to keep you up to date on the Made in Michigan rock scene.

Have a great week!

Hello from www.bowhuntersrave.com

Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.

Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)

Have fun and send post up some good pics.
